Who invented the sandwich?

Legend has it that the first sandwich was named after it's inventor, John Montague the fourth earl of Sandwich. Supposedly he was busy playing poker, and didn't want to free up his hands - so he requested that the meat from his meal be put between two pieces of bread so he could continue playing.

What is the most famous sandwich?

You may think the PB&J, but it's actually just a regular ham sandwich. Followed by a delicious BLT. We serve a famous Spangler BLT at Casablanca, with rustic country loaf bread, and then LOADED with all of the fixings you love.

Why are long sandwiches called "subs"?

Even though they do resemble a sort of submarine, legend has it they got their name from a naval base in Connecticut. Apparently the base ordered 500 sandwiches and as a result, the sandwich shop started referring to this sandwich as a sub.

How many sandwiches do American's eat every day?

Oddly enough, statistics say that 50% of American's eat a sandwich every day! Crazy, huh?
