You can't be on the water the entire time that you're here, and when you're ready to party on dry land, make your way to Casablanca in Lake Ozark.

Center of All the Action
Our Lake of the Ozarks pub & grill is located right in the center of all the action on the historic Bagnell Dam Strip. We happen to be the oldest bar in the lake area. As a matter of fact, this building turned 90 years old this year! Sitting inside, you get a sense of the rich history that has taken place between these walls.

If you choose to sit outside on our covered outdoor patio, you get a great view of all of the traffic, both on the road and on the sidewalk, passing by all day and night long. The Bagnell Dam Strip is a popular vacation destination, filled with all kinds of fun and exciting things to see and do. When you hang out at Casablanca, you get to witness it all, plus be a part of something very special right here.

Incredible Live Music
The best live music at the Lake of the Ozarks finds its way to our stage every week. The talent joining us this Labor Day Weekend is amazing, and we're willing to bet it pulls you out of your seat and onto the dance floor!

We've got, not just one, but two kitchens serving up the most delicious food in town. Inside Casablanca, we create a wide variety of dishes that you're sure to love. There is a diverse list of appetizers, savory salads, our famous Casa Burgers, sandwiches, wraps, the best Dam hot dogs, and more coming out of the kitchen upstairs. We've even got a mouthwatering breakfast menu for you on the weekends.

Downstairs is home to Casagrotto and the best pizza at the Lake of the Ozarks. Our pizza chefs work behind the bar so you can watch your pizza being created. We use a house-made tomato sauce and a proprietary 5-cheese blend, plus you can choose your own additional toppings or give one of our specialty pizzas a try. We also offer unbelievable grinders, calzones, and brick oven baked hoagies.

LOTS of Draft Beer
You'll find both bars at Casablanca and Casagrotto fully stocked so that our friendly bartenders can mix up all of your favorite drinks. Beer lovers are especially impressed to learn that we have 21 beers on tap, plus a wonderful variety of ice-cold bottles and cans too. With so many choices, you're going to want to stick around for a while and try more than one. (Don't worry, we're open 7 days a week, so you can always come back another day to try even more!) 

We're expecting to have a very eventful Labor Day Weekend here at our Lake of the Ozark bar & restaurant, and we plan to keep the fun going long after Labor Day is over too. We're open 7 days a week, year-round, and fall at the Lake has its own set of fun events in store. We've still got a couple of Hot Summer Nights and another Bike Night on the Strip coming, plus the Lake of the Ozarks Bikefest is happening September 12-16. Meet Us at the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout on the Strip

This coming weekend, Saturday & Sunday, August 25-26, 2018, is one of the most popular annual events at the Lake of the Ozarks - the Shootout! These timed boat races have brought race enthusiasts to the lake area for years, and we get a taste of the excitement on land during the Shootout on the Strip on Wednesday, August 22, right in front of our Lake of the Ozarks bar & restaurant.

Shootout on the Strip
This family fun event will bring over 5,000 people to the historic Bagnell Dam Strip to see the boats that will be racing during the Shootout in person, up close and personal. The Strip, which will have racing boats on display all the way down it, will be closed to traffic during the Meet & Greet. This allows everyone to get a closer look, take some photos, and even talk to some of the Shootout participants and collect autographs from the drivers and their teams.

Boats will begin lining up on Hwy. 242 at 2 pm and will then parade to their spots on the strip around 3:45 pm. Everything should be in place and ready by 5 pm, and the rest of the evening is set aside for you to enjoy the show.

Boat Bounce
Deco Insurance is hosting their 3rd annual Boat Bounce which gives you the chance to win a big cash prize! At 8 pm during the Shootout on the Strip, 500 rubber boats will be dropped by the Lake Ozark Fire Department. The person in possession of the raffle ticket that matches the number of the boat that bounces closest to the target will win half the pot!

Tickets are $10 each, and the actual amount of winnings will depend on the total amount of tickets sold. If all 500 rubber boats are claimed, that means a possibility of a $2,500 prize! You don't have to be present to win, so even if you can't make it out on Wednesday night, you've still got a shot. Purchase tickets online through the Shootout website.

Dinner, Drinks & Live Music at Casablanca
Since the Shootout on the Strip will be taking place in the evening, you're going to get hungry for dinner. When that happens, head on over the to best bar & restaurant on the Bagnell Dam Strip. If you grab a seat out on the patio, you can watch all the action while you eat. Beginning at 7 pm, we'll have live music inside from the talented John Allen.

As a matter of fact, you should come on in early and enjoy a drink from the bar while you watch the race teams arrive and set up. Those seats will be waiting for you if you'd like to watch the races over the weekend on our TVs instead of from a boat too.

Your Favorite Bar - 90 Years Ago & Today!

The Lake of the Ozarks is an incredibly historical place, especially the Bagnell Dam area. As the oldest bar at the Lake of the Ozarks, Casablanca’s walls are filled with a rich and awesome history. Whether Casablanca is your favorite local bar or you’re visiting the Lake, you should know a little bit about our place before you stop back in! This year, we’re celebrating the 90th anniversary of our building being built. Read on for a timeline of our incredible building as well as a few fun facts about your beloved pub & grill at the Lake of the Ozarks!

TIMELINE

1928: The building was built.
1929: The building became the first Lake Ozark Post Office. Construction of Bagnell Dam also began during this year.
1933: Prohibition ended, and the building was turned into the Casablanca we all know and love!
1998: Casablanca was sold and renamed Slick's Biker Bar.
2003: The building was bought back by prior Casablanca customer and renamed the restaurant back to Casablanca.
2004: Casablanca was sold to Eddie Jordan, who ran it for 8 years.
2012: The Brick Brothers purchased the building from Eddie on Jan 20, 2012.
2012: The Mayor declared January 20th “Eddie Jordan Day” in Lake Ozark, complete with a parade and police escort.
2013: The basement of Casablanca was remodeled and turned into Casagrotto!

FUN FACTS

1. Casablanca is the oldest bar in Lake of the Ozarks. Can you believe it?!
2. The basement (now Casagrotto!) was a speakeasy during prohibition. Now, the basement also serves delicious BRICK OVEN PIZZA! With 21 of the best beers at the Lake of the Ozarks on tap, Casagrotto is more popular than ever.
3. The building’s walls and floors are from cut-down trees during the construction of Bagnell Dam. Next time you stop in, take a look at the deep history, even in the walls.
4. In the 1930s, Bonnie and Clyde were known to frequent this establishment.
5. There are 27 TVs in Casablanca, so you’ll be sure to catch your favorite team playing.
6. Casablanca has a dedicated 15 ton A/C unit for upstairs. We sure are thankful for this during these hot summer months!
7. The POW WOW PUB sign on the patio is still glowing - it's the original one from the hotel bar.
8. The Brick Brothers purchased Casablanca on New Year's Eve evening while drinking with Eddie. Big plans can be made over a couple of pints of our delicious beer!

Summer Apps You'll Love!

One of the best parts of summer is getting out and enjoying the longer days, warmer days, and glorious sunshine! Of course, with that means that sometimes dinner happens later in the day and appetizers are the perfect way to get some food earlier in the evening, or even to enjoy something on the lighter side while it's warm. Then again, you may just want to enjoy our appetizers AND dinner - because it's gonna be good.

Without further ado, here is our appetizer lineup at the best restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks!

Chili-Cheese Fries
Golden french fries cooked to perfection and topped with your choice of our famous red meat or white chicken chili smothering them. Top this delicious app with shredded cheddar & jack cheese, and then we finish it with diced red onion. It's flavorful, delicious, and perfect for an appetizer choice.

Onion Rings
There's nothing better than getting a large plate of these golden rings. Large fresh cut onions breaded in our own beer batter and then fried to a golden brown. We finish them off by serving with our house made Sriracha Aioli sauce.

Nachos
There's nothing boring about our nachos! We take crispy tortilla chips and top them with lettuce, tomato, onion, jalapenos, our incredible white chicken chili, and sour cream. These are flavor filled and perfectly creamy, the ideal snack before your dinner.

Calamari
Have you ever tried calamari? It's a great appetizer to fit the Lake lifestyle - even if we don't have these in the lake. We slice the calamari, bread it by hand and then serve it with our horseradish aioli. They are perfection and an incredible way to start your meal at the best restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks.

Chicken Tenders
These are anything but basic. Tender, delicious free range chicken hand breaded and served with our house made grilled onion ranch or you can have them tossed in your favorite wing sauce listed below.

Fried Pickles
A southern delicacy - fried pickles are a staple starter with any meal. Our pickle spears are hand breaded and fried, then served with our house tartar sauce #yum.

Chicken Wings
Everyone loves some tasty chicken wings. Our free-range chicken wings are fried and then chargrilled for exceptional flavor. Pick between your choice of sauce, breaded or naked.

Have you heard that the best day of the year falls on a Friday? August 3rd is International Beer Day, and here’s the best way to celebrate.

How did such an incredible holiday come about? In August 2008, several local beer lovers joined together in Santa Cruz, California to celebrate their love for the drink. Since then, International Beer Day is celebrated in over 200 cities throughout the world during the peak summer month of August. Join us on this holiday to gather together with friends and appreciate brewers and bartenders.

Casablanca was a speakeasy during prohibition AND the oldest bar at the Lake, so we know what we’re doing when it comes to beer. With over 15 craft beers on tap, we’ll help you celebrate this holiday. These kegs of beer are kept at 28 degrees and then pumped through our glycol system which brings these flavors to your frosted glass at 24 degrees. Whether you stick with your go to beer or decide to venture out, our wide variety is sure to satisfy.

SOUTHERN PECAN – Brown Ale – Lazy Magnolia
Southern Pecan Nut Brown Ale lets its malty, caramel, and nutty flavors shine through. In place of grain, pecans are used in the brewing process to provide a deep flavor and dark mahogany color. This beer is brewed by Lazy Magnolia in southern Mississippi. ABV 4.5%.

CONTACT HIGH – Pale Wheat Ale – 4 Hands
Contact High is perfect for summertime. Fresh orange zest and Pacific Northwest hops give this beer a lively taste. This pale wheat ale pours a bright orange hue with a big citrus aroma. This beer is brewed by 4 Hands Brewing Co. in STL. ABV 5%.

BUFFALO SWEAT – Oatmeal Stout – Tallgrass
Don’t swear off stouts until you’ve tried Buffalo Sweat. This oatmeal cream stout is dark beer described as a beer brownie. Its sweet, rich taste and creamy mouthfeel changes the game. This beer is brewed by Tallgrass Brewing, the largest brewery in Kansas. ABV 5%.

SNAPPER – IPA – Logboat
Snapper is an easy drinking, well-balanced IPA with 4 types of American grown hops. Its light, fruity flavors include pears and peaches playing off of piney notes. This beer is brewed by Logboat Brewery in Columbia, MO. ABV 7.2%.

TWISTED PRETZEL – Wheat Ale – Shock Top
Shock Top’s wheat ale has brilliantly combined the taste of a warm, fresh pretzel with a cold, crisp beer. Hints of wheat, caramel malt, orange, and a rich pretzel aroma provide a unique yet familiar flavor. This beer is brewed in St. Louis by Shock Top Brewing Company. ABV 5.2%.
