January is Be Kind To Food Servers Month

Casablanca realizes the importance of having a fun and hardworking staff. From our chefs to our food servers, our team takes pride in providing you with an excellent dining experience. We also realize how hard our servers work to provide you with a fun night out enjoying the live music at Casablanca or the amazing food. Since January is "Be Kind To Food Servers Month," we thought we'd highlight a few ways that you can show some love to your favorites servers!

Realize That Waiting Tables Isn't Easy

Every job has challenges and waiting tables certainly can have a few. Sometimes it's been an incredibly busy day, or maybe another server called in sick and everyone is having to cover more tables than usual. Offer a smile to your server and some kind words. Maybe you can make their day easier through kindness.

Make Eye Contact

Making eye contact is one of the best ways to show respect. It can also make it easier for your server to understand what you're saying when placing your order - which could help keep order mixups to a minimum.

Hold the Phone

Several studies have been done to show that servers aren't changing the way they serve, but that the use of cell phones it what's actually slowing down service. In fact, a one hour and five-minute table turnover turned into a one hour and fifty-five-minute turnover when the use of cell phones was added. From taking photos of your food, texting before ordering, having your server take a group shot, and more. That's not to say that your server isn't happy to take a photo for your group, but remember to keep phone use to a minimum when dining out. This won't just help your server out, but it will probably make your dining partner feel much more important too!

Holidays Can Slow Down Service

This is just something to know about the restaurant industry. When we are booked up for the holidays, and we have a full house at our amazing Lake of the Ozarks restaurant, sometimes the service can slow down just a little. Valentine's day is coming up, so it's time to book your table, and enjoy a delicious meal with your loved one.

Tip with Respect

For many servers, their tip is a large part of their earnings. If you've received good service, don't be afraid to show it. As a general rule, you should tip at least 15% - 20%, and of course, you can always tip more than that!

Enjoy a Meal with the Best Service at the Lake of the Ozarks

We are thankful to have such amazing customers who come hang out with us and always provide a great time! Don't forget to thank you to your favorite server, and book your table for your Valentine's Day dinner!
